Field Notes

Description:

I saw this in a park near a stream of water. I have no clue what it is but it looks to have a long stinger.

Notes:

The long tail drills threw dead trees and stabs larva inside the bark, so as to deposit it's eggs threw it's tail and into the larva. They feed off lava and eat it from inside out
