Apparently aracaris & other toucans sleep in groups in holes in trees - what I wouldn't give to see that, all those big beaks and snuggly feathers.
Yes, they love papaya. I get a lot of toucans here but I only have one tree the aracaris seem really crazy for and I think it only fruits once a year - coming up in January (they're around but not as much as the toucans). My profile shot was taken a few months ago and a friend of ours snuck up on him & touched his tail!
