Description:

An extraordinary Ground Beetle with an odd elongate triangular head with small eyes. All black with striated elytra, about 1.5 cm long. Family Carabidae.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
