This is from US: http://bugguide.net/node/view/299475/bgimage So Bagrada hilaris is a global "pest"...
This site is Indian though : http://www.nbaii.res.in/insectpests/Bagrada-hilaris.php
Although the pics are not perfectly similar I think it does look like Bagrada Bug. But, this site http://www.infonet-biovision.org/default/ct/103/pests says Bagrada hilaris is found throughout East and Southern Africa, Egypt, Zaire and Senegal. (Bagrada cruciferarum) has been reported in East and Southern Africa. I agree with some doubts :)
Satyen, I think it is a Stink Bug and I also think it should be this one: Pentatomidae, Pentatominae, Strachini, Bagrada hilaris, Harlequin Bug. This guy seems to be very variable, so, please, verify!!! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--C9ACItkUk4/UWUzHHcbS6I/AAAAAAAAgC4/gpXcclImCmU/s1600/Pentatomidae_BagradaHilaris_BagradaBug_IMG_33768.JPG https://www.flickr.com/photos/47108884@N07/4560488423/ http://www.nbaii.res.in/insectpests/images/Bagrada-hilaris7.jpg http://bugguide.net/node/view/299475/bgimage http://bugguide.net/node/view/218359/bgimage http://www.plantmanagementnetwork.org/pub/php/brief/2010/bagrada/ http://ucanr.edu/blogs/blogcore/postdetail.cfm?postnum=9531 http://www.infonet-biovision.org/default/ct/103/pests http://blog.plantwise.org/2012/12/26/update-new-pest-disease-records-26-dec-12/ http://ucanr.edu/blogs/blogcore/postdetail.cfm?postnum=4196 http://www.vcstar.com/business/bagrada-bug-population-explodes-at-organic-farms
