Description:

The original ID I received for this on another site was marsh wren. There is now some question as to whether or not this is a marsh wren.

After looking at more photos online, I think it is the carolina wren. The white stripe over the eye seems to be more like the one found on the carolina wren.
It's definitely a wren. I'd be tempted to say Carolina Wren, but it's hard to pick between that and Marsh Wren without a good photo of the dorsum
I don't know. I received the ID before I got all my bird reference books, so I never really questioned the ID.
If you look at the picture on the wikipedia link you'll see what I mean! That said, I cannot find it in my USA book. It actually looks closer to the European Chat family. Hopefully someone else will come up with an answer.
That was the ID I was given when I originally took the photo and posted on another site.
Are you sure, it does not look anything like a wren and nor is the face pattern or breast colour like the one in my book.
