Field Notes

Description:

California condors

Habitat:

California coastline from Big Sur south.

Notes:

Traveling north on Highway One, stopped for brown bag lunch when I was covered by a large shadow. A group of tagged condors was circling above as they made their way south. After approximately 40 minutes they returned. Quite a show.

Wow!! Impressive! They're beautiful birds in the air! I know they're not technically "Raptors", but I think they're close enough and would love it if you added them to the mission Raptors of North America: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8627557
