Field Notes

Description:

Monkey Grasshopper, about 2 cm body length, pale green and brown colour, with a yellow lateral stripe from the eye down along the side of the thorax until the end of the abdomen; appears to be wingless, judging by its size, I don't think it's an early instar nymph. Seems to be active at night.

Habitat:

Andean forest at about 1600 m above sea level.
