I checked over my Kodiak bird species lists and I think you are right. Unless it is something not listed on them, this is the only species that seems to fit the bill
I think it's a least sandpiper, but I'm not familiar with all the shorebirds that show up regularly in Alaska from Asia, so can't rule everything else out! https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Least_Sandpiper/id
