Description:

Blue-black cap that extends to the eye and down nape; ear-coverts rufous; upperparts are blue-black; pale rufous underwing-coverts; all pale rufous below with black under tail-coverts. Sexes alike

Habitat:

Common and widespread within range although numerous above 1000m.
