Description:

A hungry leaf beetle with bright red and yellow colors is having a meal on a sunny winter day.

Habitat:

On red box gum in a nature reserve.

Notes:

The colors appear more bright during hibernation

This is the bright form of what is probably the same beetle. I now think its correct name is Peropsisterna annularis
