After a quick search, it turns out blue birds also lay blue eggs.
I also think it's a robins egg, it looks pretty similar to the robins eggs I photographed! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5567770
I would think so but robin eggs tend to be a pale blue with brown spots, whereas this egg is a vibrant turquoise
