Field Notes

Description:

Small plump songbirds with a short black bill. Females are grayish above with bluish wings and tail, and a subdued orange-brown upper breast that gives way to white.

Habitat:

Spotted at the edge of a semi forested area at Boggy Point Landing. Eastern bluebirds tend to live in open country.

Such a pleasing combinations of colours on the plumage and the background...such a crisp and clear series of shots. Very obliging of the bird...mine turn their heads away at the very moment that i press the shutter...so frustrating! Thanks for sharing.
