Field Notes

Description:

A.K.A cutworms, they are nocturnal caterpillars that feed on stems of young plants, active during night(nocturnal).

Habitat:

Rich fertile soil that contains vegetation, they are mostly found in tropical areas.

Notes:

This is an update to the previous cutworm caterpillar; it had made itself into a chrysalis and is undergoing metamorphosis. It had nestled itself underground in my enclosure so I had to dug it up to take a pic. I returned it immediately afterwards.
