Description:

Similar to Yellow-billed Oxpecker, with bright red bill and red eyes surrounded by a yellow eye-ring; upperparts & underparts are ashy-brown; underparts merge to buff on the belly. Sexes are alike

Habitat:

Wide spread in East Africa. They are more associated with wild game animals.

Notes:

They have Symbiotic relationship with game animals a they are specially adapted to feed on ticks and other insects found on mammals from Antelopes to Hippos, Giraffes, Zebras and Elephants etc.
