Field Notes

Description:

A very large example of this great species found near the dock.

Habitat:

Weeds and shrubs along the shoreline of a shallow freshwater pond. Husks of the nymphs can be found on floats and emergent vegetation in the area after the adults emerge from their juvenile form. I'll try to add a photo of that as well.

Notes:

Great animal to have around during mosquito season...
