Arbusto caducifolio. Ramas arqueadas, largas y flexibles que se cubren totalmente de flor. Hojas alternas, anchamente romboidales u obovadas, aserradas en la parte superior o algo trilobadas.

Habitat:

Las especies del género Spiraea provienen de Japón y China.
