Field Notes

Description:

This was spotted beside Little Greenbrier School in the Great Smoky Mtns. Nat'l Park in Tennessee. The air around the school in October was so humid and thick you could hardly breathe. Logs, rocks, trees, even the lichen and fungi were covered in some sort of green slime or moss. This is some kind of dusty rose colored fungi growing on a log covered in several different kinds of lichen.
