Field Notes

Notes:

We live @ Tambor Beach. It landed on me in my bedroom. Photos shared on Facebook led to speculation that this is a "kissing bug", but based on the research I just conducted I don't believe that to be true. Kissing bugs are supposed to have long snouts, and this bug has no visible snout at all... Seems to be some type of longhorn beetle. Does anyone else concur?
