Field Notes

Notes:

A hunting sharp-shinned hawk misses an opportunity at a meal. As he banked right he flew almost directly over my head. He did a couple "fly-bys" as if he was in disbelief that one got away. He finally landed in a near by tree and waited for his next opportunity! I just happened to be at the right place at the right time! It happened so quickly that I only got 4 shots off! Luckily a couple came out!

Oh and Christy, it's not a flight cage. It's the shed complex South of the ICU!
amazing action shot -- what a beautiful bird.
This is fantastic, Emily!! It's neat that you can see the flight cage in the background! ;-)
