Field Notes

Description:

This is a picture of a Coccinellidae (Lady Bug) inside of a Helianthus (Sunflower). This was taken up close because the lady bug was in the seed part of the sunflower and we almost missed it.

Habitat:

This picture was taken at a rooftop garden located at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The flower itself was surrounded by other sunflowers and smaller plants.

Notes:

The participants were at a Roof Top garden at the Brooklyn Navy Yard where they were learning about different plants and their uses in our society.
