Field Notes

Notes:

This picture was taken at my apartment's balcony. After the destruction of the forest nearby for more housing development, the macaques had nowhere to go. So they roam around my apartment building and sometimes came inside my kitchen and stole whatever that's on the counter. I haven't seen any macaques around for the past couple of months. They might have been killed or removed by the wildlife department. It's really sad.

Wow, that is really sad. When I started reading I was thinking it would be really scary waking up in the morning with an angry monkey next to you. But what I see scary now is what we are doing with nature, we just destruct their habitat to satisfy our desires, they don't have a place to go, but then we kill them because they can be dangerous to us, and its just that simple. Ugh! You know that quote: The more I know men, the more I love my dog? It couldnt be more true.
