Field Notes

Habitat:

This butterfly lives in a meadow or somewhere with flowers. It grows up like a typical butterfly. Starts as a caterpillar and eats and grows then goes into their cocoon and after a while, it turns into a butterfly. When they turn, they drink the nectar from flowers and while doing that they pollinate flowers. Their fur collect pollen and it travels around to different flowers. Wasps, protozoans, and flies attack butterflies

Notes:

Me and my 6-year-old cousin found this poor butterfly on the road with a broken wing. We told a quick picture and then let it hop on my finger and we brought it to the forest to where it would not get run over by a car.
