You're welcome! I've always liked the plant, but it is hard to keep it looking good in cultivation. (At least for me)
Wow! Thanks for all the help! I've actually be to the UGA trial gardens (reference in your link above). It's certainly a cool place to visit if you have the chance.
You're right Alice...just a different species than you are used to.
Beautiful flower. Because it was 3 petaled I was thinking Spiderwort, but the leaves are not at all alike.
