Indian Pipe

A parasitic plant that feeds on the mycorrhizal fungi that form associations with trees, typically beech. The flower and plant therefore get their energy from the trees and do not need to photosynthesize, and therefore have no chlorophyll (not green). These were found in mixed woods, mainly surrounded by hemlock and eastern white pine. This was probably the largest cluster of these flowers I've seen before.
