Description:
These were very plentiful along the trail. These were the biggest I have ever seen of this species, with some of the more mature ones turning brown and tinged green from algae growth. The second to last photo shows them in their prime - more gray to white than the older ones and much fuzzier.
Habitat:
Fallen logs and sticks in a predominantly hardwood forest (some pines also present). Newnans Lake Conservation Area
