Field Notes

Description:

Earth worms were dug up from the soil in the garden. All the participants got to hold one in their hands. They felt cold from being under the dirt. They wiggled in our hands. The soil was also wet.

Habitat:

The earthworms were found within the soil of the garden. The soil was cool and wet from being watered in order to get the worms out.

Notes:

The participants were at a Roof Top garden at the Brooklyn Navy Yard where they were learning about different plants and their uses in our society.
