Description:
This is a small dabbling duck. Males have a white crescent on the face.
Habitat:
Wetlands and ponds.
Notes:
These birds were photographed while I was on a recent vacation to Kansas. We saw lots of these birds, some of which were probably migrating but they also breed here.
