Field Notes

Description:

Large shrub with waxy, elliptic leaves, ~ 4-5 feet tall. It has white flowers emerging from yellow, lollipop-like pods.

Habitat:

Tropical insular coastal valley.

Notes:

Spotted in Waimea Falls Park (not the erroneous "Mililani" location cited above, which I have been unable to change), along the trail about 100m west of the falls.
