Field Notes

Description:

This spider has a yellow back with a chocolate stamp on its middle. Size: tip of little finger.

Notes:

I spotted this spider on a warm day, at a height of 7,000 ft (on a trip to photograph Pleione in the forest), run from its web and merge itself with the wilted flower parts of the plant it was on, in an effort to hide itself from us. But when I gently cleared those old flower parts around it, it didn't run away. I took few more shots.

Beautiful little Orb Weaver. It has great camouflage with the dry flowers!
Yes ChiefRedEarth, one of your spiders looks almost like this except the colour: yours is white and mine brown.
Thanks Apple, thanks Chief for favouriting my 'tablaa' (Indian/ Nepali percussion instrument). It very much looks like it with a centre black patch!
