Description:

Cymothoe caenis, the Common Glider, is a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family.

Habitat:

On a dirt road that ran through the center of Kibale forest. Here patches of sun penetrated the forest and there were many butterflies.

This species is found mainly in secondary forest and disturbed areas of primary forest.

Cymothoe caenis is distributed across the forested regions of Africa from Guinea to Congo, Uganda and Zambia.
