Field Notes

Description:

These two giant sweetlips (aka Two-striped sweetlips) are a about half-grown, which is why they are probably hanging out in the shallows of a coral lagoon. Sweetlips change appearance as they grow, with the young being quite colorful and brightly striped. At this age these two show a pattern of two broad vertical two-stripes.

Habitat:

Shallow coral lagoon of Lady Elliot Island.

Thanks Kelton. I love chasing fish with my camera, but I try not to stress them out too much.
