Description:
brown bodied crayfish, tail with 4-5 segments and dark markings at joins. Claws and tailfin have reddish markings. Multiple sizes.
Habitat:
Fresh water lake in West central georgia
Notes:
Sadly my father's lake is turning with some red algae blooms that are depleting his fresh water lake of oxygen. There was a small fish kill yesterday which they attempted to slow by aerating the lake with motorboats and sprinklers. Unfortunately there were crawdads, tadpoles, minnows, and other small fish near the bank coming up for air which means they may have a ways to go before it's better :(
