Oops sorry! Great spot sbrickner!
This isn't my spot Karen! The credit goes fully to sbrickner83. My Polyphemus (which is a female) is here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/12128318
Great spot Jacob! I've seen a few of the caterpillars but yet to see an actual moth of the species. The giant silk moths only live for a few days, literally just long enough to breed & don't eat at all as adults - they don't even have proper mouths!
This is a male Polyphemus Moth. Ouch! Look at the injuries to his wings! Seems like he escaped a bird!
