Field Notes

Description:

Overall, the colors on this leafhopper were very muted with green, blue, and red stripes. The forewings were green with several black markings at the apex, which is a diagnostic feature. The scutellum had several thin black lines.

Habitat:

Spotted in vegetation on the side of a river.

Notes:

This species is often confused with the much more vibrant Candy-striped Leafhopper (Graphocephala coccinea), which can be seen here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/666709350
