Field Notes
Description:
Cicadellidae; Cicadellinae; Cofana spectra Distant, 1908. The pale, almost white colouring makes this leafhopper easy to recognize. The black diamond spot on its head is very visible on this one, but it appears to be faded and less prominent on some of the pictures in inaturalist.org. There is some information available on - https://idtools.dpi.nsw.gov.au/keys/cicadell/species/cofana.htm
Habitat:
Spotted in a rice field resting on a leaf, early in the development of the crop.
