This is a fresh shelf mushroom - just up this month. It's called Dryad's saddle because it's supposed to look like a saddle that a dryad (a wood nymph) would like to sit on. It's a polypore - the underside is made up of tiny pores. Its scientific name is Polyporus squamosus.
