Field Notes

Description:

I think it is a young hawk, but is it a red-tailed or a red-shouldered?

Habitat:

Sometimes they like to hang around my bird feeder which I discourage (Because they want to catch one of my birds for dinner), but mostly I see and hear them in the field behind our house.

Hey Alice...I am cleaning up the Raptor mission and I added the scientific name on this spotting.
The raptor obviously thinks he owns the property - Ha!
