this may be a juvenile or female, they usually have duller colours than the male

I spotted these birds along the floating walkway over the wetlands in Point Pelee national park.

Going back to Pelee is on my list of things to do. Now just to find the time....

I think these may be young or female tree swallows. See http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/tree_swallow/id for more information. I'd guess the young would be flying in early August. Point Pelee is a wonderful place. I remember vividly our only visit there. A sharp-shinned hawk came barrelling through the woods as they do and shot right between Deb and myself. Very cool...grin.
