I saw one too in Buru island, Maluku, Indonesia. So this moth spreads all over the world, though it's very hard to find.
I agree with Ashish...I went ahead and suggested it and provided a Wikipedia link, they both have very similar markings.
Its almost similer to Oleader Hawk...!!
Definitely some time of sphinx moth http://insects.about.com/od/photography/ig/Sphinx-Moths/
I saw the exact same moth. was going to post the spotting later. I think its a type of sphinx moth
