color on the throat doesn't mean much in a photo
I would say it is either an adult male Allen's or an immature male Rufous...
It definitely could be a variation of Allen's, but the slight purple in the neck throws me off...
We have rufous here and they have rufous backs as well as breasts. How about Allen's?
I agree with Susan. Definitely Rufous :)
