Field Notes

Description:

Rust colored moth typically, occasionally is gray in color instead.
May have two small spots in reniform area. Purple-pink hind wings.
26-35 mm total length.

Habitat:

Spotted on a sheet hanging on my porch with black lights and halogens shining on it at night to attract moths. We live in a gated lake community surrounded by rural agricultural land, and some wooded areas.
