Description:

Mountain Sharptail Grouse

Habitat:

Foothill Gamble Oak, Pine and Spruce Forest.

Notes:

We are pretty sure we came upon a Grouse breeding Lek. Saw 2-3 different males with cloroing denoting breeding time and several sets of prints in the snow.

Wish the picture was clearer, but he kept flying higher and higher into the tree. Was definitely showing off for a female but we never did spot her.
