Wonderful spotting and great video. Their eerie calls bring back good memories from our trip to Andasibe National Park. Thanks!
I know eh, this is an old spot. You're right, I will never forget this. Thanks a lot Carol, I really appreciate it.
I can't believe this spot is going on 8 years. It probably seems just like yesterday and of course you will never forget this moment in time. Congratulations. This is one of my favorites of yours.
Wonderful lemur and amazing sound, thanks for video,,
Awesome Photo, Awesome video as well, wow that did sound scarey..
Incredible spotting, photos, and video. I envy you for being able to witness this in person.
Thanks again melissac, it is a terrifying call!
I have never heard anything like that before. If you didn't know what they were, it would be terrifying! Great pic and video!
Thank you Carolina, I agree for sure. It's good to see you back again.
Oh my God Dan I almost cry! What a beautiful vocalization! The new feature is incredible, I think it would make us more sensible about species. I'm really really happy about this.
I really like the video feature as well. I have a few more to add to some of my spottings. As for the Indri, you can hear then call when you're not even in the forest. Their call carries up to 3km. It woke me up in the morning while I was camping on the edge of the park. If your friend in Madagascar goes to Andasibe National Park, she's pretty much guaranteed to see Indri.
I'm so glad Project Noah added a video feature, that clip added so much depth to the spotting! I have a friend out in Madagascar at this very moment to do some work on the marine side of things, very jealous! She gets to go to the national parks too, I hope she spots an indri as well! Must have been amazing to hear that call within the forest :)
Thanks for all the comments and I'm glad everyone enjoyed the video/sound clip. Christiane, I think that's a great idea to put a sign for spottings with videos, like when you pass over a spotting and it tells you what it is, who spotted it and the number of favorites/comments, if its a video, you would also see an icon for that. Maybe it's something PN can work on for the future. Thanks BareFeat, I guess he does kind of look like me. He definitely has a nice trim beard!
man those starry eyes...look right into your soul!
I think he kinda looks like Dan! :) Nice spot.
Those eyes! And the sound clip/video is fantastic: I'm immediately transported there!
Hey.. could you put a sign to the spotting with videos? That would be so great!
So beautiful.. It's great to hear the animals! Wonder what they are talking about!
thanks for the video, this would make a great ringtone
I've added a sound clip/video to this spotting. Turn up your volume for the eerie call of the Indri.
