Description:

mushroom growing out of elephant dung

Habitat:

rainforest

Notes:

spotted this hiking along an old, unused logging road that goes deep into Tabin reserve. the elephant dung was quite old and unfortunately I never saw any elephants here

Yup, Panaeolus grow allover the world.
do you think it could still be Panaeolus, even when I saw it in Malaysia? Wiki says they are common in N. America and Europe. Are they found in Asia as well? I didn't check it for brusing.
Panaeolus sp. Did it bruise at all? Blue bruising, purple-spored coprophilic mushrooms are hallucinogenic.
