I agree with your first comment Vanessa, one is used to see Hyenas behaving differently, nice picture =)
Really nice 2nd picture! It looks really pensive and lovely in the golden light, shows that Hyenas are beautiful creatures too :)
I have never really looked at a Hyena face- you always see shots of their bodies, which I think are oddly shaped or doing "what they do" (tearing apart wildebeests) Their faces are serene and beautiful! This shot is wonderful. I may begin to like this animal!
