Description:

A striking small shrike with a long tail, rufous edges, white underparts, a black mask and pearl grey head.

Habitat:

Scrubby area in open forest.

Notes:

This bird was spotted from a distance in the Bandhavgarh National Park, Madhya Pradesh, India. Single individual.

Thanks Peter! I think you're right: it looks exactly like the described tricolor race of Lanius schach. See if anybody else can confirm and I'll edit accordingly.
