Field Notes

Description:

The stems are erect, straight, have no or few hairs, and reach a height of above 1 meter. The leaves are pinnately lobed and the end lobe is blunt, having an unpleasant smell. The flower heads have a diameter of 1.5 to 2.5 cm and are borne in dense, flat-topped clusters. It's petals are bright yellow.

Habitat:

Ragwort is abundant in waste land, waysides and grazing pastures. It can be found along road sides, and grows in all cool and high rainfall areas.

Notes:

Found these outside of a small village with lots of wild/abandoned zones, on the side of a rarely used road.
