Field Notes

Description:

Narrow, pointed, glossy, dark green leaves. A single leaf on each stem. There are 1/4" thorns on the main stem. A crushed leaf has a lemon smell.

Habitat:

Central Florida, Outside, in both sunny and shady sections of the yard.

Notes:

I've seen this in several places around the yard. This is a new home, so we aren't sure if this is wild or if it was planted by the previous owner and we're just now seeing it.
