Field Notes

Description:

Nymphalidae; Nymphalinae; Limenitidini; Pantoporia dama dama Moore, 1858. This butterfly was flying around the tree tops, giving no opportunity for photos, but landed momentarily, fairly high up on the foliage of a bamboo. I only managed one picture before it flew off and I lost sight of it.

Habitat:

This Lascar was spotted in the back yard of the rice mill.

Notes:

A previous spotting of a Pantoporia dama dama when I managed to get some slightly better photos - https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/587469150
