Description:

Usually nocturnal hunters, this lone hyena was the highlight of our morning game drive as we departed Ambosili. Despite keeping a sharp eye open, almost all of the other animals we saw at that point were "repeat performances". We saw more giraffe, zebra, elephant, and wildebeest, but we already had better pictures of all of them than we could have gotten then.
